Consider whether the work which the person does during any of
the prescribed weeks is likely to continue for at least five weeks
beginning with the week of application. Regard the work as likely
to continue unless there is evidence that, at the date of
application, a decision has been made within those five weeks
1) to end the work or
2) to cut the hours below 16 hours a week
Note It is the employment which the applicant holds at the date of application which must continue, rather than the type of work
Example
The date of application is 6.6.00. The applicant is employed as a cleaner and says her job is to end on 16.6.00. She is to start work on 17.6.00 with a new employer, again as a cleaner. As the employment she holds at the date of application is not to continue for 5 weeks, the application falls for disallowance.
