Work in prescribed weeks

To be treated as engaged (WFTC) / engaged and normally engaged (DPTC) in remunerative work applicants must
1) work 16 hours or more in

1.1) the week of application or

1.2) one of the two weeks immediately before the week of application or

2) be employed earners whose employer expects them to work

16 hours or more in the week immediately following the week of application or

3) if they cannot satisfy 1 .or 2 and they are on holiday

at the date of application, (WFTC applications) or cannot satisfy 1. or 2. Because they are on holiday in those weeks (DPTC applications), but they expect to work 16 hours or more in the week following their return to work.

4) if they cannot satisfy 1. or 2. and they are on jury service at the date of application they must be expected by their employer, or expect, if S/E, to work 16 hours or more in the week following their return to work from that jury service (awards commending on or after 28.11.00)

These weeks are the prescribed weeks.
