The right to receive income

In most cases a valuation as in DMG42031 is unnecessary. This is because

1) the capital value can be disregarded under DMG44008(11) or (12) and the question of whether the income is assignable does not arise or
2) the income is one of the types in the following examples, which cannot be assigned.


Examples of income which is not assignable to a third party and has no marketable capital value include
SS benefits, CHB, DWA, IS or FC
  • periodical payments of maintenance
  • pension and superannuation payments under any public service scheme, for example any pension from the
  • armed forces
  • civil service
  • police
  • LA.
