Calculation of weekly income from student grants

The decision maker should take into account the whole of a student's grant income after deducting any payments intended to meet

1) tuition or examination fees

additional expenditure incurred

2.1 by a disabled student in attending a course

2.2 by residential study away from the student's educational establishment during term time

2.3 in maintaining a home at a plaace other than where the student lives during the course In buying books and equipment In meeting travel expenses arising as a result of attendance at the course Note The amount deducted under 1 to 2 should not exceed the amount specifically included in the grant for that purpose.
