Existing students are students
1) who started their course of study before the start of the
98/99 academic year
or
2) who would normally have started a course of study in the
97/98 academic year but only if
2.1 their education establishment had formally agreed, before
1.8.97 to defer the start of their course for one year only and
2.2 they are now taking up that place on that course.
