a person who has started a course, including a 'sandwich' course
(DMG39017), should continue to be treated as a student during both
term and vacations until
1) the last day of the course
or the person abandons the course (DMG39008)
or
the person is dismissed from the course (DMG39012)
whichever date is the earliest.
The last day of the course means the last day of the final
academic term in respect of the course in which the student is
enrolled.
Note If a person whom

3 applies has
received a student loan, the decision maker should follow
DMG39323.
