Particular kinds of self-employment: People providing board and lodging


The decision maker has to decide whether the income from board and lodging is a major part in the light of the circumstances of the case. As a guide, a major part has to be a sizeable, but not necessarily the greatest, part of the total income.

2) normal weekly earnings from employed
3) earner's employment) ) ) ) ) ) £50
3) other income) ) ) ) ) ) ) £10
4) notional income) ) ) ) ) ) ) £5

6) the income at 1. is less than the income at 2., although it is more than 3. or 4.
7) the earnings from employment are the largest part of the applicant's income, but the income from the boarder would be a major part.
