Voluntary payment means a payment which
1) has a benevolent purpose
and
2) is given without anything being given in return.
A voluntary payment has the same purpose as a charitable
payment except that it can be for the benefit of an individual
rather than a sufficient section of the public and need not be made
from a charitable trust.
