Income other than earnings: Training premium and subsistance allowance payable in respect of Employment Zone participation

Where an applicant is participating in an employment zone scheme and the employment zone contractor makes a payment which is

• a training premium payable in respect of the applicant's participation in the employment zone scheme or

• a discretionary payment, being a fee, grant, loan or otherwise

disregard the payment.

Note 1 Disregard and treat as capital any lump sum payment of arrears of subsistance allowance paid for participation in an employment zone scheme
Note 2 The capital disregard only applies for a period of 52 weeks from the date it is received
