Repeat applications: prescribed circumstances (passporting)

The disability test is satisfied if any of the following passport conditions are satisfied when the repeat application is made

1) the care component of DLA is payable at the

highest or middle rate or

2) the mobility component of DLA is payable at the

higher rate or

3) AA is payable or mobility supplement (under the War Pensions Scheme) is payable or

4) W Dis P or Dis P at the 80% rate or more is

payable or

5) a benefit corresponding to any of 1 . to 4 . is payable under Northern Ireland legislation or

6) an invalid carriage or other vehicle is provided (in any part of the UK) under the Invalid Vehicle Scheme.

The disability test will also be satisfied if SDA, or a similar benefit under Northern Ireland legislation, was payable for one or more of the 182 days immediately preceding the date when the initial application for DPTC (or 56 days if it was a DWA claim).
