List Of New And Transferred Cases (LNTC)

To deal with cases on the LNTC Work List in the CT processing office consider steps 1 - 10 below. This guide is presented as follows

New Cases

  1. Prepare a file

  1. Place a print of the 'View Company Details' screen (TXP018A) from Function VTPR (View Taxpayer) in the 'Permanent Notes' folder in the file

  1. Delete the case from the LNTC Work List

Other Transfers

  1. If the S55 Satisfied signal is 'N' use Function VTPR to check the date of issue of form CT41G
  • Check to see if the file has been received from the previous owning office

If so follow step 5

If not follow steps 6-7

  1. If the file has been received
  • Follow the guidance in Action Guide 'Transfer of Case In CT Processing Office' in section 'Case Ownership' in this business area
  • Delete the case from the LNTC Work List
  1. If the file has not been received
  • Enter a suitable B/F Date (say for 2 weeks from today) and enter a B/F Note showing why case is on B/F

You can also use Function NOTE (Case Notes) to record more detailed notes of action you take to pursue the file

  1. If the file is not received after 2 weeks, contact the previous owning office and request transfer of the file
  1. Once the file is received
  • Follow the guidance in Action Guide 'Transfer of Case In CT Processing Office' in section 'Case Ownership' in this business area
  • Delete the case from the LNTC Work List

S55 Cases

  1. Copy the case(s) to an Excel spreadsheet by selecting the [Excel] button. The spreadsheet can then be used for S55 FA2004 review purposes

  1. Delete the case from the LNTC Work List
