COM32020 - Background: features of COTAX: COSH
COTAX System Help (COSH) provides detailed instructions on the use of functions in the COTAX system.
COSH is available when you are using any COTAX function. It provides specific help at each of the following levels
- Function
- Screen
- Field
And
- Error message
COSH is context sensitive. This means for example, if you make an error in a particular field, when you use the F1 key on your keyboard help for that particular field is displayed.
You can access COSH by using one of the following methods
- F1 Key
If the cursor is resting in an active input field, pressing the F1 key on your keyboard displays Help for the specific field in which the cursor is resting. Function, Screen and Error message Help for the error messages that relate to that field can be found in the ‘tree’ in the side bar of the COSH window.
If the cursor is not resting in an active input field, or if there are no input fields on the screen, pressing the F1 key displays Help for the COTAX screen you are on. The ‘tree’ in the side bar gives you access to Function, Field and Error message Help for all the error messages that relate to that screen

Selecting the on screen [Help] button displays Help for the COTAX screen you are on. Access to Function, Field and Error message Help is as described above
