COM132054 - Returns / notices: return handling: logging - screen messages

In certain circumstances, while the COTAX computer accepts revised AP information input at the logging stage, and allows the recording of a company’s self assessment, it is still necessary for an Inspector to review the AP record, and ensure no further action is required.

Your attention is brought to these cases by the use of eight screen messages as follows

The AP record has been updated using the dates you supplied.

The revised APs now appear in the list on the screen below.

You must now

Note the content of this message, then select the [OK] button to remove it

From the screen below, select the AP required, and log and capture the return

Pass the file to an Inspector to review the AP records

If however the AP record is still incorrect, and you cannot proceed, exit the function and refer to an Inspector.

Message 2

The AP record has been updated using the dates you supplied. The dates used have created a new short AP between the end date of the previous AP and the start date of the new AP.

The revised APs now appear in the list on the screen below.

You must now

From the screen below, select the AP required, and log and capture the return

Pass the file to an Inspector to review the AP records

If however the AP record is still incorrect, and you cannot proceed, exit the function and refer to an Inspector.
