To deal with cases on the ‘Record SA List’ in the District Office consider steps 1 - 7 below.

Use Function RSAW (Record SA List) to display the work list and

 

  • Select the entry that you want to work

Select the [View] button to see all available details for the case including the reason for the entry on the list

E-Filed return

3.

Use the ‘View E filed CT Returns’ function to examine the return and attachments as submitted by the company / agent

 

As this return has already failed satisfaction checks which look for name and CRN matches you will need to satisfy yourself that the accounts and computations submitted online match with the CT600

Where they do then go to step 7 to record the self assessment

Where they do not treat the return as unsatisfactory and see COM133022 ‘Unlogging a CTSA Return’ Action Guide in section ‘Returns / Notices’

Record self assessment

Use Function RAMA (Record / Amend Assessment) to record the self assessment. RAMA

 

  • Displays the details captured from the company’s tax return. You can accept or correct those entries

 

  • Asks you to confirm the assessment details

 

    • If you accept the captured entries COTAX records the self assessment and issues an acknowledgement of the return

 

    • If you correct the capture entries and enter ‘Y’ in the ‘are you making a correction?’ field on RAMA screen COT121G, COTAX records the self assessment and issues a correction notice showing the amended figures
