COM125120 - Repayments / reallocations: non automatic repayments: payments of tax credits - responsible office

A company must make a claim to repayments of tax credit in its return, in

  • For a CT Pay and File AP
    • Section 8 of form CT200
Or
    • A form CT201 or amended return form
  • For a CTSA AP
    • Section 7 of form CT600 (Version 1) or Boxes 143 or 144 of the CT 600 (Version 2)
Or
    • An amended return form

This applies whenever a company makes a claim to payments of tax credit, for example

  • When a company has surplus franked investment income (SFII) that it wants to set off against trading losses or other reliefs under S242 ICTA 1988. For more information see CT (Corporation Tax) Manual at CT1620
  • When a wholly or partly exempt company claims under S231(2) ICTA 1988. For more information see CT (Corporation Tax) Manual at CT1613
