COM110030 - Pursuit: automatic and clerical pursuit: selection for banking operations pursuit
An AP can be referred for clerical pursuit(Word 28KB) within Banking Operations
- Automatically by COTAX where there is an automatic RFI condition (Word 33KB)
- When requested by

- Banking Operations using Function RAPP (Revise AP Pursuit)

- Or
- Or

- An office using Function MAPS (Maintain AP Signals)
Note: Exceptionally, where an AP is automatically selected for clerical pursuit by the Debt Management Office but the Recovery numeral (Word 27KB) cannot be identified, the AP will be automatically referred to Banking Operations on a printed local action notice. Banking Operations will transfer the case to the appropriate Debt Management Office.
Where Banking Operations consider that an AP should be pursued by the Banking Operations clerical section the case will be made RFI(Word 31KB). The case will be included on the Banking Operations ‘Cases Working Clerically List’ (LCWC) for attention.
APs being pursued by Banking Operations will have a Pursuit Status of either RFI or PRFI (Word 28KB).
Note: Debt Management Offices should not make a case RFI or PRFI.
PRFI will be set by Banking Operations to refer for clerical pursuit all collectible APs for a company. This will set PRFI for all APs
- Which already have a collectible balance
- Any which subsequently become collectible
Where RFI or PRFI is unset COTAX will
- Resume automatic action for each AP from the last action taken
- Take the next action set by Banking Operations
Certain cases will be referred to the Debt Management Office for clerical pursuit. These cases will have a Pursuit Status of LA (Word 28KB), PLA(Word 28KB) or LA-ENF (Word 27KB).
The Pursuit Status of LA-ENF is set using Function RAPP (Revise AP Pursuit) when the Debt Management Office start enforcement proceedings.
