CITM2010 - Accreditation of community development finance institutions (CDFIs): Application for accreditation

To be eligible for relief under the CITR scheme an investment must be made in a body that is accredited as a CDFI. For background on the role of CDFIs see CITM1010.
The person responsible for accrediting CDFIs is the Secretary of State for the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS). In practice this function is delegated to the Director of Enterprise Environment at BIS’s Enterprise Directorate - see ITA/s343.
Applications for accreditation should be made to BIS, from whom further information about the form of the application can be obtained.
