CCM18035 - Child Benefit and Tax Credits: Definition of Approved Training

For Child Benefit, approved training means the training courses provided under the following Government programmes:

  • in England, “Entry to Employment” or “Programme Led Apprenticeships”
  • in Wales, “Skillbuild”, “Skillbuild+” or “Foundation Modern Apprenticeships”
  • in Scotland, “Get Ready for Work”, “Skillseekers” or “Modern Apprenticeships”
  • in Northern Ireland, “Jobskills”, “Training for Success: Professional and Technical Training” or Programme Led Apprenticeships (Apprenticeships NI)

Main difference, if any, to Child Tax Credit (CTC)
