Accounting Procedures - Record of Contract Settlements

The Claimant Compliance Centre Manager (CCCM) must create an establishment file for the issue of consecutive numbers issued for contract settlements. The control sheet within the file should record the following:

• Consecutive number - a new series should begin for each collection account
• Claimant’s name
• Claimant’s NINO
• Amount of over-paid WTC (if any) included in the settlement
• Amount of over-paid CTC (if any) included in the settlement
• Amount of penalty included in the settlement
• Any subsequent reduction of the settlement
