CCM7500 - Discrepancy Enquiries: Working and Closing the Discrepancy Enquiry – Claimant(s) confirms your revised figure is correct
If the claimant(s) agrees your revised figure, you must close your enquiry by writing to them using the appropriate closure letter, see link below, explaining that you will be amending the final award on the basis of the revised figure.
Closing the Discrepancy Enquiry
You
must always write to the claimant(s), even if you
have spoken to them, and agreed the position, on the phone. If the
claim was made by a couple, you
must send a copy of your letter to each member. As
soon as possible after you issue your letter you should close your
enquiry on TCW and amend the finalised award details on NTC (see
NTC Manual for system guidance), this will result in the system
issuing a S19 decision notice against which the claimant has a
right of appeal.
