CCM7040 - Discrepancy Examinations: Types of Discrepancy

The discrepancies you will work, will have been identified by matches with relevant our databases. The data-matching work will take place in a specialised team within TCO, who will make thorough checks on the appropriate systems to ensure that they show a genuine discrepancy. The specialist team will also check that:

  • the claim is not already under examination by a CCO in a Claimant Compliance Centre (CCC)
  • the case is not being considered by the CCRO for full examination
  • the amount of the apparent discrepancy falls within the limits of the work appropriate for CCC Preston/Washington.

The cases you receive will therefore come with a high degree of assurance of the accuracy of the information. (This text has been withheld because of exemptions in the Freedom of Information Act 2000)
