Adult Placement Schemes are funded by local authorities and involve carers taking adults into their own homes to live with them, as far as possible, as members of their own family.

Supported lodging schemes are different to adult placement schemes, the simplified arrangements for adult placement schemes do not apply. Providers of supported lodging schemes may choose to use rent a room relief.
