  1. The limits are the net totals on the form not by line or subtotal.

If the assessing officer is at SO or above, the authorization for reductions and withdrawals should be at the appropriate line management grade.

When raising an overdeclaration, reduction or withdrawal the assessing officer cannot also countersign the document (even if within their limit above). An independent countersignature is required.

  1. Repayment returns must be signed by a SO or above.
