AH0410 - Written Procedures: Scope of the written procedures


The written procedures should

  • cover the initial processing of appeals and postponement applications (see AH0415)
  • give guidance as to when a late appeal may be accepted (see AH0420)
  • say which appeals must be referred to a senior officer in all cases, for example appeals to the Special Commissioners
  • specify the person or jobholder who should do each task
  • nominate a deputy or deputies
  • set out the criteria and arrangements for referring appeals to the Appeals Unit
  • include any hearing date calendar or timetable.
