IHTM39045 - Closing a file: close the Enquiry Reporting System record (ERS)

You should be checked that the ‘Enquiry Type’ record held under the ‘Compliance’ heading in the drop down menu in the case-working programme (on the computer) has been closed (IHTM29130). A compliance yield in respect of Primary Compliance & Support or Compliance Section should be shown and recorded. You should enter the date when the enquiry was settled, and this may be a different date from the date on which the case was eventually closed.
