The majority of cases referred to DMB will be for pursuit of
payment and these should be passed to DMB as a matter of routine
once 56 days have elapsed from the due date for payment (see
IHTM32243).
If you need to refer to DMB for advice on, or handling of,
any of the matters referred to in
IHTM38013, you should send the file
together with a completed form DMB 1
In Edinburgh a different procedure applies (
IHTM32245). The caseworker will mark
the file with the 28 days reminder date and also referral date to
DMB, in accordance with
IHTM32035.
