IHTM32092 - Progressing cases in Primary Compliance & Support (PC&S): main features
PC&S cases opened after 1st April 2009 are initially reviewed by caseworkers after 3 months (IHTM32093). Main reviews are carried out at 6 months (IHTM32094) 9 months (IHTM32095), 12 months (IHTM32096) and 18 months after the case is opened. Any files that are still open at 18 month stage should be reviewed at least bi-monthly or on the instruction of your manager or PCTS.
The aim of these reviews is to ensure that as many cases as possible are closed before the 12-month review and that any cases that remain open after this are effectively managed.
There are special procedures for marking cases (IHTM32097) for review, for dealing with cases where no account has been received (IHTM32098) and for re-opened cases (IHTM32099).
Cases that are team-worked may be referred to a manager at any time by a caseworker, to consider removing the file from team-working and allocating it to an individual caseworker. This should also be considered at every progress review.
