IHTM29110 - Enquiry Reporting
System (ERS): closing the ERS record
You must check that all adjustments and yield recorded (now
or earlier) are relevant and correct
before you close the ERS record.
Cross-check that the yield shown on screen makes sense
compared to the amounts you have assessed. Remember that this may
not always be an exact match as there may be non-yield adjustments.
When you are sure that all the information has been entered
accurately, you should click on the ‘Enquiry Settled’
box. Click on ‘Close’ to return to the Case Index
screen.
- Once an Enquiry Record is settled you
cannot re-open it.
- If, subsequently, a further adjustment for
yield comes to light, you will need to set up a new ERS
record.
- If there has been an error and the ERS
record has been closed showing too much yield, refer the file with
an explanatory note to the Products and Process Team. Say how much
adjustment is required and how the error has arisen.
- When you open a second or later enquiry,
all the adjustment records for the file will appear on the first
screen. If you highlight the relevant enquiry and click on
‘View’, you can look at everything that was done during
an earlier enquiry. But, you cannot alter any of the fields.
