The TPI Datamart is a database of
Financial institutions and other deposit takers must report
details of these to HMRC.
(This text has been withheld because of exemptions in the
Freedom of Information Act 2000)You can search the TPI by name,
address, postcode or UTR (
IHTM09282).
The TPI Datamart can help identify undisclosed gifts or
assets by providing details of accounts not included in the IHT400.
It can also highlight a pattern of reducing annual interest and
decreasing capital, meaning there may have been gifts that are not
already shown in the IHT400.
From 2001/02 TPI Datamart also includes details of interest
received from overseas bank accounts. If TPI reveals interest from
an overseas source you must follow the special instructions (
IHTM09366) for using this information.
