2006 Review of Links with Large
Business
Who have we consulted with?
Who have we consulted with?
We have consulted with senior representatives from over 100 large corporates and more than 25 advisory and representative bodies, across a range of UK and multinational businesses and trade sectors. We have collated the views of Tax Directors from business, Senior Tax Partners and Finance Directors. Representation has been through one-to-one meetings and forums, such as the Large Corporates Forum, the CBI Taxation Committee, the 100 Group, the Association of British Insurers, the British Bankers Association, etc..
We have met on a one-to-one basis with consultative committee members and held two committee meetings on 30 June and 11 September.
These meetings have informed the direction, and the detailed work, of the review, focusing on opportunities to
- strengthen consultation;
- develop better dialogue;
- create a framework for the relationship built on mutual trust; and
- address certain operational issues
with a view to providing greater certainty, clarity and reduced complexity with benefits for both business and HMRC.
Summaries of forum meetings such as those hosted by the CBI tax committee and the Large Corporates Forum are published below.
