I’m an Employer Compliance Officer in Coventry. This involves visiting employers’ premises, usually with an assistant, to look through their wages and accounts records to check they’re current and accurate. If I find any irregularities, I calculate how much is owed and agree this with the employer. Not all employers are responsive to this and some argue their point, but I enjoy using my negotiation skills to reach a satisfactory outcome. I like getting out and about visiting employers, as you get to meet some really interesting people. It’s nice to get positive feedback that we’re giving a good service.
