I applied for this job as I thought it would give me the chance to do something completely different. I’d previously worked in a medical laboratory and as a support worker for people with disabilities. Tax used to be like a foreign language to me, but the ten weeks’ intensive training we had at the beginning soon changed that. I get a lot of satisfaction from completing a call and knowing that I’ve done something to make life easier for someone else.
The work is varied and challenging and you never get bored. There’s always help available from other team members, floor walkers who walk around the office offering advice, and from your manager. This is a Contact Centre like no other – there are no sales targets and definitely no boring repetitious calls.
