IR35:
General - Question 4
Will all workers who provide their services via intermediaries be forced into direct employment with their clients?
No. There is no question of the Government outlawing service companies. The revised rules simply make the decision whether to work through a service company or as a direct employee broadly neutral in terms of the tax and NICs which is payable. Moreover, only those contracts which would have been contracts of employment with the client if the worker had worked directly to them instead of through an intermediary will be affected by the IR35 legislation.
