IR35:
General - Question 17
What happens if I thought I was outside IR35 and my company paid me a dividend, only to find out afterwards that I was inside IR35?
The IR35 deemed payment is calculated without reference to the dividend.
The company can make a claim to match a dividend against the deemed payment.
Once the claim is accepted the dividend is treated as reduced and any repayment
due as a consequence will be made to the worker.
