Payment for Pension Schemes by Bank Giro

If you intend to pay by Bank Giro and you do not have a payslip please either telephone Audit and Pension Scheme Services on 0115 974 1600 or email pensionschemes

We will arrange for a payslip to be sent to you pre-printed with your payment reference and our bank account details.

You should ensure that Audit and Pension Scheme Services receive your return in sufficient time to issue you with your reference number and payslip before your payment is due.

If your bank or building society offers the Bank Giro service you can make payment at your own bank branch by cheque or cash.

If paying this way please:

  • take your payslip to your own bank branch (other banks may refuse to accept it or may charge you for this service)
  • Make cheques payable to ‘HM Revenue & Customs Only’

We treat any payment made by Bank Giro as electronic.

To allow for possible delays in bank processing (for which we are not responsible) we advise you not to leave payment until the last day. We advise you to allow at least three bank working days for it to reach us (bank working days are Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays).
