Payments: National Insurance Contributions payable to National Insurance Contributions Office (NICO)

BACS and CHAPS (Other than Quarterly Billing)

These computerised systems transfer funds electronically direct from your bank (or building society) account to ours. For further information about these systems please contact your bank.

The BACS and CHAPS systems enable you to tell your bank to make a payment on a specific date. You should therefore know for certain on which day payment will reach us. When using these systems you will need to provide your bank (or building society) with our bank account details. These are:

Sort Code Account Number Account Name
BACS 10 56 64 23456752 NICO
CHAPS 16 53 60
----------
NICO

You will need to provide your National Insurance/Reference Number. This is shown on the letter that we send to you.

It is important that you quote the reference number in exactly the same format as shown on the bottom line of your payslip. If you do not it could lead to delays in updating your account record.
