BACS and CHAPS

These computerised systems transfer funds electronically direct from your bank account to ours. For further information about these systems please contact your bank.

The BACS and CHAPS systems enable you to tell your bank to make a payment on a specific date. You should therefore know for certain on which day payment will reach us. If you pay by one of these methods we will treat your payment as having been made the working day before we receive it.

When using these systems you will need to provide your bank with our bank account details. These are

You will also need to provide your Inland Revenue reference number. This is shown on your payslip in the reference box

The time you should allow for this type of payment to reach us depends upon your bank's internal procedures. We suggest you ask your bank for advice on this point.

For interest purposes we will treat your payment as having been made the working day before we receive it.
