Administration

Meet Baljinder Singh

As we’re one of the biggest businesses in the UK, employing over 88,000 people and collecting £457 billion in revenue on behalf of around 40 million customers, administration here is varied to say the least.

It’s also interesting, rewarding and satisfying. After all, you’ll be providing the support that helps the nation to run effectively and efficiently.

While our Administrators work across different departments, all are focused on providing good customer service and all roles carry out tasks such as:

  • basic accounts, such as creating invoices and matching payments
  • keying in data and customer information
  • creating, distributing and filing records
  • telephoning or writing to customers (or their agents) to ask for information
  • arranging meetings
  • producing reports and statistical data

Our Administrators also benefit from a flexible working hours system that can work around your other commitments, for example, college work or school runs.

In many of our offices you’re free to carry out your duties between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm, making up your set number of hours as you go. There’s no set start or finishing time, and we can also offer part-time and term-time working if it meets the needs of the office. Early evening shifts, available in some locations, may also be more suitable for people with other commitments.
