PAYE: No Employer Annual Return to make for 2009-10

H M Revenue & Customs has introduced a quicker, cheaper and easier way, for employers and agents, to tell us if they have no Employer Annual Return (P35 and P14s) due for 2009-10. You can still contact us in writing or by telephone if you wish but if you use this new facility you will receive an acknowledgement email immediately to reassure you that your declaration has been received.

We will also send you a second email to confirm we have processed your declaration and will then not need to make an Employer Annual Return.

There’s further information to help you by following the links at the end of this section.

If you do need to file a 2009-10 Employer Annual Return you have until 19 May to do so and for almost all employers you must do it online. If you don’t file a return or don’t tell us you don’t have one to make you may receive unnecessary reminders and penalty notices.
