Doing it online all year round
Almost a million of you sent your Employer's Annual Returns (P14s and P35) online for 2004-05.
But you can also send us information online during the tax year (P45(3)s, for example). And you can look at messages online from us too (P6s, for example).
What is in it for you?
Sending and receiving in-year information online is quick, secure and convenient and can save you time. It also saves on administration, paper, storage and postage.
There are benefits for your employees, too. For example, you will be able to operate new tax code numbers quicker.
How!
You can send and receive information online during the tax year:
- over the Internet, or
- by Electronic Data Interchange
using:
- our free Online Return and Forms – PAYE product, or
- 3rd party commercial software.
If you use a payroll agent or bureau, you can ask them to send and receive your in-year information online for you.

There is a range of employee information you can send and receive from us online during the tax year.
How to get started
If you have not used our PAYE Online for Employers service before, you must register before you can send or receive information online. But, if you are registered already, you can choose to get in-year information online. And if you already use Electronic Data Interchange, contact your Live Service Account Manager to get started.
