13.11 Common errors

Be sure you avoid the most common errors when sending your in-year information online. These are:

• P45(1) with no date of leaving shown in box 4
• P45(1) which shows a cumulative tax code but no Total Taxable Pay details in box 7
• P45(1) which shows a non-cumulative tax code but has no Pay details in box 8
• P45(3) with no date of starting in box 9
• P46 where Statement A, B or C is not ticked in the ‘Your present circumstances’ section.
