A reminder about forms P45

All employers must now use the new larger A4 size version of form P45, and always provide date of birth and gender details. If you have any stocks of the old-style small A5 versions these should be destroyed.

If you send us old style paper forms P45(Part 1) we will return these to you. New style A4 forms will also be returned if the Date of Birth and Gender fields are not completed.

To allow time for old forms to work through the system, we will continue to accept A5 versions of the paper P45 (Part 3) but the Date of Birth and Gender details must be completed.

If you have 50 or more employees you should now be sending all your starter and leaver information to HMRC online.
