Work and Families Act

As part of the Work and Families Act 2006, Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) has been extended from 26 weeks to 39 weeks for mothers whose due date is 1 April 2007 or later.

In addition, we are eliminating the need for employers to calculate Statutory Payments manually, by providing free calculators. You can also find these on the Employer CD-ROM.
