Software Developers Support Team (SDST)

The SDST is your main point of contact within HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) during the development and testing of your software product. They will provide the following services to software developers:

  • liaison with the Excise Movement and Control System (EMCS) Project Team
  • dealing with enquiries relating to the technical documentation (for example schema and validation rules)
  • issuing vendor IDs and testing credentials
  • provide feedback/advice during testing
  • assistance with product recognition

SDST are also responsible for the issue of the technical information provided to assist in the development of your product.

Currently there are technical specifications and a Local Test Service (LTS) available for both Functional Stages 1 and 2.
