Seized! Revenue and Customs Uncovered
'Seized! Revenue and Customs Uncovered' is the national collection of HM Revenue & Customs, housed in the National Maritime Museum in Liverpool. It is the only such collection in Britain, drawing on contraband seizures and other archive material from all over the country. These fascinating exhibits tell the controversial story of Britain’s taxes and duties. Why not arrange a school trip to the museum and enter into an unseen world of smuggling, intrigue and detection, where things are not always what they seem? Alternatively, you can explore the museum online from your classroom - ask your pupils to look at the items on the highlights page and guess where they came from, and how they relate to tax and customs.
