Working Together update to TPV meeting 31 Octoer 2007

1. Paul Coulthard is now our main contact for all questions.
2. Mike Wells is Head of ‘Money Services Business’.
3. SDLT is the best performing E Filing tax for HMRC generating £8bn a year with 110 staff.
4. There has been a rapid decline in 2D Bar Coding since the decommissioning announcement.
5. Help Line gets 39,000 calls a month.
6. There is a wish to reduce the volume of paper received by HMRC.
7. There will be a list of transactions published by HMRC that will not be E Filable – they will have to be printed and sent to B’Ham.
8. The SDLT6 is now in HTML format.
9. Old pages of legislation will be removed.
10. There was a discussion about the Trustee Box and how it should be filled in - we are awaiting the result.
11. There was a discussion about removing the need for the SDLT 60 to be signed by the client - we are awaiting the result.
12. There was a discussion about having an ‘open day’ at B’Ham to meet the key people - we are awaiting the result.
13. There was a discussion about Electronic Payments such as a Chip and Pin service - we are awaiting more information.
14. There was a discussion about introducing Intelligent Polling – which will now be looked at again next year after pressure to delay from the Personal Tax vendors.
