- Paul Coulthard is now our main contact for all questions.
- Mike Wells is Head of ‘Money Services Business’.
- SDLT is the best performing E Filing tax for HMRC generating £8bn
a year with 110 staff.
- There has been a rapid decline in 2D Bar Coding since the decommissioning
announcement.
- Help Line gets 39,000 calls a month.
- There is a wish to reduce the volume of paper received by HMRC.
- There will be a list of transactions published by HMRC that will not
be E Filable – they will have to be printed and sent to B’Ham.
- The SDLT6 is now in HTML format.
- Old pages of legislation will be removed.
- There was a discussion about the Trustee Box and how it should be filled
in - we are awaiting the result.
- There was a discussion about removing the need for the SDLT 60 to be
signed by the client - we are awaiting the result.
- There was a discussion about having an ‘open day’ at B’Ham
to meet the key people - we are awaiting the result.
- There was a discussion about Electronic Payments such as a Chip and Pin
service - we are awaiting more information.
- There was a discussion about introducing Intelligent Polling –
which will now be looked at again next year after pressure to delay from
the Personal Tax vendors.
