Adding a sole trader as a subcontractor

For a sole trader the individuals screen is displayed.

Add subcontractor – Adding a sole trader – Providing sole trader information

  1. You must complete all fields marked with an *asterisk. Enter the Surname and First name or initial or the Trading Name.

  2. Enter as much information as possible the ‘V’ highlights that by entering the Unique Tax Reference and National Insurance number, a positive verification response is more likely.

  3. If you have already verified a subcontractor by phone enter the verification number provided.

  4. Provide a unique work reference number (if you use them) for the individual.

  5. If you would like to provide more information such as an address and telephone number, enter the details.
