We accept payment by a range of methods but recommend paying electronically. Electronic payments are generally more efficient and secure than payment by post.

Make a payment – Providing information for paying PAYE electronically

You can use your bank/building society services to pay by:

  • Internet banking
  • Telephone banking
  • BACS Direct Credit
  • Direct Debit (VAT and Excise only)
  • CHAPS
  • Paymaster (if you have an account with the Paymaster General)

Alternatively, you can use BillPay and pay by debit card over the Internet by using Billpay's Online Payment Service.

You can sign up to BillPay by following this simple process.

  1. Enter some payment details like your Accounts Office reference number, your name and your card details.

  2. Confirm these details.

  3. Receive a payment reference number you can use in the future.
