Overview of how to register
The six steps below show Registration and Enrolment process.
You must confirm that you have read the terms and conditions for submitting online returns and payments.
You will be asked to supply your name and create your own password.
We will display on screen a unique User ID, You must make a note of this and keep it safe, as you will need it every time you log in to use HMRC Online Services. It will not be displayed again.
You then enrol for your chosen service(s) by entering the necessary details such as Unique Taxpayer Reference number (UTR) National Insurance Number and Postcode.
We will display the services you have enrolled for and post an Activation Code (Also known as a PIN) for services which require activation.
Finally, activate your services using the Activation Code(s).
