Sign up for email reminders
If you submit VAT Returns online for your clients, HM Revenue & Customs recommend that you sign up to receive email reminders to let you know when their VAT Returns are due. This email reminder will help you to make sure that you submit your client’s returns and pay any VAT due on time. (It’s all an all or nothing service, you can't pick and choose which clients to receive them for). After providing and confirming your email address you’ will receive a separate email reminder for each individual client.
If you want to set up this reminder facility:
Go to the ‘Welcome to Online services’ page select ‘Existing users’ on the left, enter your User ID and password then select the ‘Login’ button.
You’ll be taken to ‘Your HMRC services page’. Select the VAT ‘Access service’ link this will take you to the ‘At a glance’ page.

Under ‘Maintain email address’ follow the ‘Add email address’ link.
You’ll be taken to 'Your information' page, under the VAT messages section follow the 'Add email address' link.
